At 0710 you fix your position 262°T, 3.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 101°T at 7.4 kn until 0720, then 305°T at 9.1 kn until 0740.

Give the 0740 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
