At 1445 you fix your position 238°T, 3.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 227°T at 5.6 kn until 1505, then 312°T at 5.4 kn until 1535.

Give the 1535 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
