At 1250 you fix your position 024°T, 3.0 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 149°T at 4.7 kn until 1320, then 109°T at 9.0 kn until 1340.

Give the 1340 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
