At 1135 you fix your position 201°T, 2.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 245°T at 4.5 kn until 1200, then 339°T at 7.6 kn until 1240.

Give the 1240 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
