At 0750 you fix your position 060°T, 3.2 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 316°T at 9.8 kn until 0800, then 119°T at 7.7 kn until 0845.

Give the 0845 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
