At 1305 you fix your position 049°T, 2.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 273°T at 7.0 kn until 1320, then 113°T at 7.4 kn until 1340.

Give the 1340 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
