At 1215 you fix your position 357°T, 2.1 nm from Mill stack. You steer 280°T at 6.6 kn until 1230, then 031°T at 4.0 kn until 1245.

Give the 1245 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
