At 1110 you fix your position 055°T, 2.5 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 131°T at 8.8 kn until 1130, then 197°T at 6.4 kn until 1155.

Give the 1155 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
