At 1040 you fix your position 282°T, 3.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 153°T at 6.3 kn until 1055, then 238°T at 6.5 kn until 1120.

Give the 1120 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
