At 0815 you fix your position 286°T, 3.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 095°T at 9.1 kn until 0825, then 266°T at 6.1 kn until 0855.

Give the 0855 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
