At 1340 you fix your position 276°T, 1.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 202°T at 6.3 kn until 1425, then 048°T at 8.5 kn until 1455.

Give the 1455 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
