At 1415 you fix your position 037°T, 1.5 nm from Kittle water tank. You steer 148°T at 5.1 kn until 1425, then 298°T at 4.3 kn until 1450.

Give the 1450 DR position as the true bearing FROM Kittle water tank to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
