At 1525 you fix your position 212°T, 2.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 350°T at 5.8 kn until 1600, then 173°T at 7.6 kn until 1640.

Give the 1640 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
