At 0820 you fix your position 258°T, 3.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 061°T at 6.4 kn until 0830, then 314°T at 7.5 kn until 0900.

Give the 0900 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
