At 1510 you fix your position 256°T, 2.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 204°T at 7.4 kn until 1530, then 352°T at 6.0 kn until 1615.

Give the 1615 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
