At 1125 you fix your position 028°T, 2.4 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 035°T at 4.1 kn until 1145, then 107°T at 4.7 kn until 1210.

Give the 1210 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
