At 0845 you fix your position 068°T, 2.6 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 065°T at 4.9 kn until 0910, then 332°T at 5.1 kn until 0935.

Give the 0935 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
