At 1310 you fix your position 067°T, 2.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 194°T at 8.3 kn until 1325, then 037°T at 4.4 kn until 1350.

Give the 1350 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
