At 0910 you fix your position 057°T, 3.0 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 143°T at 5.0 kn until 0935, then 270°T at 6.9 kn until 0955.

Give the 0955 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
