At 0755 you fix your position 177°T, 1.1 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 096°T at 5.1 kn until 0815, then 051°T at 4.5 kn until 0855.

Give the 0855 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
