At 1355 you fix your position 101°T, 2.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 058°T at 5.9 kn until 1425, then 261°T at 4.9 kn until 1450.

Give the 1450 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
