At 1330 you fix your position 078°T, 1.4 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 279°T at 9.7 kn until 1355, then 154°T at 6.2 kn until 1420.

Give the 1420 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
