At 1420 you fix your position 321°T, 2.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 211°T at 4.2 kn until 1445, then 278°T at 5.6 kn until 1525.

Give the 1525 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
