At 1400 you fix your position 084°T, 3.5 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 133°T at 10.0 kn until 1435, then 079°T at 9.1 kn until 1505.

Give the 1505 DR position as the true bearing FROM Kittle water tank to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
