At 0930 you fix your position 302°T, 3.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 196°T at 4.4 kn until 0950, then 258°T at 7.6 kn until 1000.

Give the 1000 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
