At 0835 you fix your position 051°T, 2.3 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 073°T at 8.7 kn until 0905, then 298°T at 7.2 kn until 0915.

Give the 0915 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
