At 0805 you fix your position 248°T, 3.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 004°T at 6.3 kn until 0830, then 185°T at 9.1 kn until 0905.

Give the 0905 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
