At 0800 you fix your position 239°T, 3.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 348°T at 6.4 kn until 0840, then 111°T at 4.1 kn until 0855.

Give the 0855 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
