At 0930 you fix your position 229°T, 2.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 035°T at 6.6 kn until 0945, then 201°T at 4.7 kn until 1020.

Give the 1020 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
