At 1410 you fix your position 267°T, 3.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 167°T at 5.5 kn until 1430, then 206°T at 7.4 kn until 1455.

Give the 1455 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
