At 1040 you fix your position 187°T, 1.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 059°T at 5.0 kn until 1120, then 194°T at 4.4 kn until 1150.

Give the 1150 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
