At 1535 you fix your position 039°T, 4.6 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 311°T at 8.8 kn until 1550, then 160°T at 6.7 kn until 1605.

Give the 1605 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
