At 0910 you fix your position 316°T, 2.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 159°T at 5.2 kn until 0920, then 070°T at 7.6 kn until 0935.

Give the 0935 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
