At 1445 you fix your position 054°T, 2.5 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 110°T at 6.4 kn until 1530, then 041°T at 6.0 kn until 1545.

Give the 1545 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
