At 0935 you fix your position 211°T, 3.3 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 350°T at 4.7 kn until 1020, then 150°T at 6.4 kn until 1100.

Give the 1100 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
