At 1105 you fix your position 080°T, 3.3 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 127°T at 7.9 kn until 1120, then 013°T at 7.1 kn until 1130.

Give the 1130 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
