At 0830 you fix your position 255°T, 2.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 206°T at 6.6 kn until 0905, then 315°T at 5.5 kn until 0935.

Give the 0935 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
