At 0945 you fix your position 046°T, 2.1 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 046°T at 7.1 kn until 1015, then 166°T at 5.8 kn until 1045.

Give the 1045 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
