At 1350 you fix your position 253°T, 2.1 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 183°T at 8.1 kn until 1405, then 008°T at 5.8 kn until 1420.

Give the 1420 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
