At 0740 you fix your position 306°T, 3.6 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 183°T at 8.5 kn until 0800, then 262°T at 4.5 kn until 0825.

Give the 0825 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
