At 0720 you fix your position 005°T, 3.3 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 126°T at 4.3 kn until 0750, then 174°T at 6.1 kn until 0825.

Give the 0825 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
