At 0835 you fix your position 251°T, 2.7 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 279°T at 6.5 kn until 0855, then 220°T at 7.8 kn until 0905.

Give the 0905 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
