At 1155 you fix your position 208°T, 2.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 203°T at 9.2 kn until 1210, then 058°T at 4.6 kn until 1235.

Give the 1235 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
