At 1345 you fix your position 214°T, 1.8 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 282°T at 6.7 kn until 1355, then 153°T at 6.4 kn until 1415.

Give the 1415 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
