At 1345 you fix your position 298°T, 4.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 203°T at 5.3 kn until 1355, then 074°T at 9.2 kn until 1405.

Give the 1405 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
