At 0820 you fix your position 202°T, 1.5 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 302°T at 4.4 kn until 0855, then 236°T at 4.6 kn until 0905.

Give the 0905 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
