At 0950 you fix your position 077°T, 1.0 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 032°T at 4.3 kn until 1010, then 073°T at 4.1 kn until 1045.

Give the 1045 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
