At 1015 you fix your position 281°T, 1.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 231°T at 7.1 kn until 1045, then 109°T at 8.4 kn until 1115.

Give the 1115 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
