At 0735 you fix your position 271°T, 2.4 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 169°T at 5.1 kn until 0800, then 273°T at 9.7 kn until 0825.

Give the 0825 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
