At 1440 you fix your position 109°T, 0.8 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 147°T at 9.4 kn until 1455, then 006°T at 7.0 kn until 1520.

Give the 1520 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
